Storm systems that track that deeply into Mexico can be very difficult to forecast just due to the lack of data as it passes south of the us. This can lead to very sudden forecast changes as it emerges out of Mexico in terms of track and overall intensity.

But looks like a real rainmakers anywhere east of us 84

Huh. Figured your Phil Robertson would be calling for 16" of snow with this system since he is so great with weather ensembles and Feb/Mar storms

If you east Texas guys don't want all of it, we'll gladly take it.

Hopefully we get some in northern Mexico...looks like Houston is going to get pounded.

I'm able to think and reason on my own. Do you disagree with my statement regarding the course of the system?

No not at all. I thought you cut and pasted a lot of Phil's forecasts. Maybe I'm thinking of someone else. Tomorrow late morning has me worried. Thats when a lot of shear will be present and if anything forms ahead of mcv watch out. It could drop a tornado at any time and be on you in a second. That's what happened to me working in la several weeks ago. When first tornado formed near Houma there wasn't even a watch yet. Should get interesting later today and tomorrow

I do and have referenced his forecasts. Phil is a friend, he admits this forecast being a bust. This winter baffled a lot of really good forecasters.

I agree there is a window of some potentially dangerous weather, hopefully the shear and or lift is currently over stated and things stay wet and not violent.

I may have planted my garden a week early. Maybe it will just be a nice, slow and steady rain and not a monsoon.

Cool. He seems like a good guy. I got tired of him getting me all excited about winter storms. Mccaulley pretty much was right on with with forecasts. Phil called him out. Was quite comical. So is he down in Florida fixing to chase Osceolas?

Yeah there was a rub for sure. I have talked to him in a month or so, but it's about time for him to head east after turkeys

I'll believe it when I see all this rain. Seems like they've been wrong this whole winter it wasn't near as cold as they forecasted and it hardly rained. Show me the rain this week then I'll be a believer

Ain't rained where I'm at in the woodlands today but for maybe 30 minutes total. Still don't believe it's gonna rain as much or for as long as they say
