    Group size to distance ratio?

Never shot at anything over 30yds with my bow other than targets.

I have been practicing out to 60 for several years though.

I was thinking the other day and decided to make different sized targets for various distances. I figured 1" diameter per 10yds was a reasonable size. ie 2"@20yds, 3"@30yds etc
I figure that if you can keep the majority of your shots in a 6" circle @ 60yds then you are doing good enough to shoot that far at something like a pronghorn

    What does the GS think?

I agree. If you can keep a 6" group at 60 yds and practice enough to be confident in taking that shot I see no problem with it.

Same, I agree. Not sure on inches but reference it to golf ball groups at 20 to 30, and softball sized groups out to 60 and I'm happy.

I understand that there will be a lot of guys that disagree but in the 4 years I've bow hunted, I've never shot anything at longer than 40 yards. I'm practicing now for 2 or 3 years from now to do a DIY elk hunt, losing weight, getting in cardio shape, and I'm now shooting 24 arrows every single day.

If your confident in your shooting ability, then it doesn't matter what anyone thinks or says
