Every doe I saw last weekend had a fawn with her. Counted around twelve does. Some had twins. Most does I have seen during every sit. Our numbers are way up, with the good rains the last couple of years.

I think he's 8. He rebounded from a freak right side last year but he is down overall this year. Gonna roll the dice on him again. This year was hard here.

Heading south in the morning till Tuesday. Looking forward to it. Haven't been able to spend multiple days there yet as we just signed the lease in late August. Still have roads I've never been on!

We saw 38% fawn crop from the helo survey. No rain from May 15 to Aug 15 took its toll on the fawns.

This is by far the worst fawn crop in over a decade.

Our fawns are doing very well near Dilley, our best in last four years.

Our numbers are way up this year. Coyotes are up too it looks like. I've killed 4 this weekend. Mature bucks are hiding, there's really no reason for them to leave their bedroom yet.
