This is more than a long shot but worth a try anyway to find these two fishermen that I met 12-15 years ago, especially since now I live in TX.
I met them out on Florida bay, they had launched from Flamingo and were fishing a channel in the Snake Bight area. The had a yellow bay boat they had trailered down from TX. It wouldn't get up shallow enough to fish the flats.
I took them in my boat as I was fishing alone and put them on lots of reds, everyone had a great time.
Unfortunately, I lost their contact info. Don't remember their names, one worked at a bank in Victoria, the other worked on a ranch. They were in their mid twenties, I am guessing back then. They were also going to try to tarpon fish in the Keys on their trip.
