    Toyota of Denton deceptive practices.

Well i.guess I don't have to tell you about car dealers, but it burns me up. So my truck is down with what should be a warranty issue. Well the dealership is saying I don't have the platinum package, but the gold package. Well what happened was I financed, the platinum package, vehicle taxes and all. The next day I just happened to call my credit union to see if they could beat the rates, and they could, and had a cheaper warranty as well. So I called the dealership and they matched, what i thought was all the financing, platinum warranty, and so on. Well what they did was match the rate, but downgraded the warranty, that was cheaper to match what the credit unions price was. I still have the platinum contract paperwork, and the new, gold package. What should I do, I know what I want to do. But hate making a a** of myself. There's been several other issues with the same dealership and I've heard I'm sorry from them 40 times already. Put your money where your mouth is. I owe them 650 dollars for a repair, that might of been covered. Toyota corp, is eating 1600 dollars in parts for the issue, but labor is still to much.

So if you would have stuck with the original deal you signed all this would have been free?

Can't say for sure. They would have to verify through in company, was a used truck, 3rd party. So when they called them, only verified I had the gold.

Was the cheaper deal through your credit union with the Platinum warranty? If not it looks like the dealership just matched what you presented them with from the credit union.

I had signed up with the platinum through dealership, bumper to bumper, when I told them.i wanted to cancel because credit union had a cheaper bumper to bumper, they said they would match. It's not uncommon to haggle about prices of warranties, but he completely downgraded it and pawned it off on me that it was the same warranty.

If you have a signed contract with the Platinum Warranty in the schedule I would press the issue.

If not, pay and move on due to no legal footing.

I have both contracts, signed and delivered. It will be.up to them to honor their work or make it right. But I will be on bbb, and Toyota customer sites if they dont.

I just read the reviews on this dealership, and the bad reviews are right on track.

sounds simple to me, does it say "platinum" or "gold" on the last/newest contract you signed?

Doesn't say on my contract, just a price I paid for it. Now in there computer printed contract it says gold. But that's not the handwritten one I signed. Well I don't know what's gonna happen, but I paid for the repair, they said he will take care of the warranty, and try to get me reimbursed, really don't know if the warranty would have paid for it anyway. But he said he would take care of the warranty issue without me gettin ugly. I am very surprised, but he took one look at the paperwork and told me he will fix it. Just need time to sort out details with dealership, warranty co. I'd expect that, I was prepared to pay, and make a argument about the warranty for future service. Time will tell.
