Snake Gaiters or Chaps?

Thinking about a few south Texas hunts in my near future during the summer as well as I now hunt in the Panhandle and starting to worry about snakes from where I usually hunt.

I have FAT calves and cannot find a snake boot that is comfortable unless I can find someone that A) has chippewas in 13EE and B) a reasonably priced shop that can expand the calf area as well as sew a zipper in.


So now im looking at the Whitewater snake gaiters and chaps, my question is, would I be fine with the gaiters or would I be better off with getting the chaps?

Any other recommendations for fat boy boots or snake alternatives?

Chipps would be the best if you can get them fit for you. I "had" to use chaps as a youngster and hated them, gaiters were a more comfortable option when I got to use a set of them a few times
