Yes, HCO Spartan GoCam.. Scroll up in this thread a little and it has been discussed quite a bit. Better pictures and an app that actually works like it's supposed to with more options. And if you don't want to use the app you can still just have the pictures sent to your email and you don't have to pay the extra $3/month.

I mean honestly the $3/month shouldn't even be an issue. The app takes this camera as a cell cam to a whole nuther level. I never like to tell folks how to spend their money, but if somebody can drop $350 on a camera they can spend $3/month to get the most out of it. Problem for HCO is they do a really poor job of promoting the app. A lot of folks buy the camera and never realize there's an app for it.

I am new to this camera and app. Maybe I'm way wrong but can't I do everything on the website that I can do with the app? I had it all running like I wanted to before I even messed with the app. Is the difference that you only get the best picture quality sent using the premium service? Maybe I'm able to do it all online because of the free month of premium service?

There is no comparison of picture quality between the two. Covert isn't even in the same league.

When put side by side with same light, mp, etc...there may be a slight difference. My point was, don't use a sun behind vs. a sun facing photo for comparison. Lame!

Covert camera wireless App?

As far the pictures they both write to SD card, there's not a nickle's worth of difference in the quality imo. The difference shows up in what they will send you. Being able to have every picture sent to you in either 640x480 or 1280x960 resolution is a huge advantage for the Spartan. And if power use/battery life is a concern and you just want to run the camera in 640x480 to conserve, being able to request a Higher Definition picture if you see something interesting is also a big plus.
