Where to stay between Waco and Glen Rose

So for spring break (for my wife and 4.5 yr old) we were thinking about hitting the Waco zoo then grab some food and a bed before Dino World in Glen Rose.

Suggestions???

It's only an hour drive to Glen Rose from Waco. Why not just drive up after the Zoo and stay there?

Gonna stop by her grandfathers property to check feeders and change cards. Tried to get her to stay there but I was given the "really" look.
