Tundra Owners - Did you need tow mirrors?

Just purchased a new travel trailer, I haven't had my delivery inspection yet, but I'm wondering if I need to purchase a set of tow mirrors.

Currently my Tundra has the standard short mirrors, I did add some stick on circular blind spot mirrors but that probably wont cut it.

    Thoughts?

I don't have a tundra but I did have a f150 with the standard mirrors and I definitely needed towing mirrors. I did buy some of the mirror extenders at first but they vibrate to much so I ordered towing mirrors from ford.

I only have a 17' Casita but I would love towing mirrors. Toyota did not offer them when I bought my. Do they now?

Make sure you carry a couple gas cans full of fuel if you will be traveling a route that has a stretch where it is more than 120 miles between gas stations !i found this out by towing an almost empty cargo trailer from San Antonio to Price Utah. Thought we would never get there.

Sure do, buying from Toyota they are 400-500. Amazon has pair for 200 that get really good reviews.

Thought about that, ordered a no-spill 5 gallon.

I would sell the truck and buy a GMC with tow mirrors.

My truck has the sport mirrors and they worked just fine.

Pulled the camper 500 miles and never felt like I couldn't see.

                I have a 32 foot bumper pull.

Good deal, what I was wanting to hear. I'm gonna try out the mirrors I have for now and go from there. How's your Tundra do with that 32 footer?

Pulled 80 mph down I-10 and never skipped a beat. Fuel mileage was 8. [emoji30]

I have a 32' bumper pull and wish I had tow mirrors. They definitely make a difference.

About what I figured for fuel mileage.

                          I have a 17' 2300 lb Casita. Doing 70 mph I average 11.5 mpg.

When I pull my 10' utility trailer empty or full at 70 mph I get 13.5 mpg.

When I pull my tiny 4 wheeler trailer with the 4 wheeler on it 70 mph I get 13.5 mpg.

I have decided it is more about wind drag than it is about weight.

And for every 5 mph faster you go you are gonna see it substantially in your mpg.

And I wish I had tow mirrors on my Tundra. May have to buy them.

I use the CIPA slide over existing mirrors and they have worked great. I don't like pulling my 30ft TT without them.
