They are super chilis. We dehydrate them for crushed red pepper.

I moved my last jalapeno plant into the shade in the back yard about 3 weeks ago. pulled everything else and ran the mower over what was left. Most of it had died a week or two before that. Dogs ate my last jalapeño plant and the rest of the peppers on it Wednesday, so I'm done till next year unless I plant a fall garden.

No pics this go round but I just planted our Autumn crop! More herbs (always) leeks, cabbage, brussels sprouts, 3 different squash, cucumber, strawberries, and a couple tomatoes. All our peppers and rooting plants are still doing awesome as well as some lettuces so real estate was limited. Mulched everything in good with grass clippings and watered in with rain from the catchment system.

Okay, here is a couple pics of our modest Back to Eden/Permaculture garden. Keep in mind this is only the beginning of our second season using this method and the only think we have done other than planting for this Autumn is spread our grass clippings in! We have started to have several "volunteer" plants pop up from our composting our vegetable scraps.
