    Firework stands open?

This weekend and today I have noticed firework stands in Tyler, Jacksonville and lufkin all open. Guess I may be missing something but why are they selling fireworks this time of year?

They were anticipating Hillary being charged in federal court....but it didn't happen.

Noticed the same. Only thing I could think of was Texas' 180th birthday.

Texas Independence day. Texas added that plus San Jacinto day and Memorial Day.

Wasn't there a law this past year that allowed sale other than the days around new year/4th of July? Or did I dream it?

They passed a new law allowing them to be open for 5 (i think) different holidays. One happens to be texas independence day (march 2nd).

Edit: just looked it up, in addition to new years and july 4th, they approved the sale for texas independence day, san jaccinto day and memorial day. Also, cinco de mayo if you live within 100 miles of the border!
