This weekend and today I have noticed firework stands in Tyler, Jacksonville and lufkin all open. Guess I may be missing something but why are they selling fireworks this time of year?

They passed a new law allowing them to be open for 5 (i think) different holidays. One happens to be texas independence day (march 2nd).
Edit: just looked it up, in addition to new years and july 4th, they approved the sale for texas independence day, san jaccinto day and memorial day. Also, cinco de mayo if you live within 100 miles of the border!Last edited by fishingsetx; 02-29-2016, 01:33 PM.
