Word to the Wise

Just FYI, you should purchase your flight directly from the airline. They're much more likely to work with you if/when something comes up and you need to reschedule. I learned the hard way one year when I was scheduled to hunt in Africa and couldn't get on the plane. The airline told me they'd have rescheduled me if I'd have bought the ticket directly from them. Told me I'd have to talk to the travel agent to see what could be done. The travel agent didn't even try to work with me (not saying the mom[s] mentioned on here would be jerks like that). I got a $1500 tour of the DFW airport lobby.
