    Cantilever gate adjustment?

    Fence builders,

Need to adjust my parents chain link cantilever gate. It hits the ground when closed. The gate uses two pairs of nylon rollers (two rollers on top and two on bottom). The gate worked flawlessly 4 years ago, but now does not.

What's the process to correcting the problem?

    Thank you in advance.

Try adjusting your top rollers down. They have probably gradually vibrated up.

Wedge the gate up to the level you want it when closed. Then adjust your rollers down to the gate.

So is it safe to say that I shouldn't touch the bottom rollers?

You may have to raise the bottom roller to get the gate off the ground.

              Your gate might be sagging.
Open gate fully and tap the roller closest to the road on top up a little.
Then bring your bottom roller that's closest to the road up to be half inch below bottom rail of gate.
The gate might drag the ground in the open position thou after this if so raise the whole gate.

Check the bearings on the rollers. We had to replace rollers at work after about 3 years. Like said above you can open the gate and replace the rollers 1 at a time
