    cow elk hunt question

price for a cow elk hunt in Texas and about how much meat will one yield?

    #2
100-150 lbs of clean meat. I got 120 from mine. I may be more picky about trimming it but a Texas elk will probably be smaller.

I've seen them as cheap as $500 all the way up to $1500. I would think anything under 1k is pretty good.

Same size dependent on food source of course.

A buddy stumbled into a heck of a deal for a cow elk hunt, near Hamilton a couple of years ago. $250 a head....... we were there within a week of finding it, and it was a real fun hunt, to boot!

Assuming you have killed both then?
