Looking for durable interior led lights for the bow fishing boat. I've done some research and there are too many brands out there to choose from. Seeing if the GS has experience and suggest a specific brand. This may seem a little unnecessary to some, but i would like the strips to be able to change colors and also fade between colors. Some times when were out in the Louisiana marsh things get a little funky and a light show would add a little zing to our disco nights. Below are some pictures to get everyone excited for spring and summer.

academy sell 30"ish led strip lights. several colors to choose from and I found them in the kayak section. they come in a plastic track. can be cut to needed length and has caps on the ends that have screw holes as well as the track having double sided tape on the. im very happy with mine. I also bought red led Christmas lights at wally world after Christmas. they are a rope style, basically the leds are enclosed in a plastic tube. I never did install them because the academy leds give off more than enough light.
led rope and Christmas ligts that come in the flat unprotected style should be avoided. they bend well and look great but will soon break in every bend that you have in them. find lights with a slide in plastic track or lights that are enclosed in a flexable plastic tube.

Of you want to change colors you will need RGB (red green blue) leds. If you want chasing patterns vs just color change and fade you need individually addressable RGB leds.
IP65 is water resistant, IP68 is submersible. Those are universal codes. Use that to look on Amazon and eBay. Find one with a controller that she's what u want.
Pay attention to how many feet you can string together without "injecting power". Meaning running positive and negative power wires into the middle of ur string.
This picture is 16' of lights in my kitchen 5 volt power supply. They are set to 1 color, purple. The voltage drops and the color changes over length. These are cheaper lights and I knew that. I will have to inject power every 4'. 12v rated lights should have less voltage drop.
