Had it once. I was crapping and vomiting at the same time. You can barely muster the strength to move.
My girlfriend (now wife), was over taking care of me. We were both laying in bed together watching tv. I had to fart, and I thought I could sneak it out. Bad idea. I had to promptly tell her to leave the room immediately. I had to strip the sheets off the bed and burn them.
It was bad.Last edited by Grizz83; 02-25-2016, 05:01 PM.

Most people blame it on the last thing they ate. That is seldom the case.
There is bacterial, viral, and toxicogenic (bacterial toxin).
If all your symptoms are upper GI like nausea and vomiting, that is toxicogenic and most likely the last thing you ate. If there is diarrhea you have to look back at least 12 hours, but more like 18-24 hours to figure out the cause. Some on-set times can be as long as 3 days.
Symptoms can be as short as 24 hours like in Norovirus (stomach flu, stomach bug, etc) or as long as 3 months (Hepatitis A)
Great info. And yes with bad cases it's usually something from the day before.

Got it once from a eating a bad sandwich from a gas station. Pretty much ended up being about 24 hours for me. Same as others above, coming out both ends. A very miserable 24 hours that I almost wouldn't wish on my worst enemy.
I also know someone that got sick from bad sour cream on a baked potato. They where down like 4 days and ended up having to go to the hospital on day #2. I believe she had a parasite of some sort. Not cool at all. Glad I asked for fries that night...
