    Youth baseball bat reviews

Looking between the new Omaha or mako for my son who is in coach pitch. Any reviews on either one? I know one is alloy and the other a composite. Thanks

Yep. A nice Omaha aluminum will serve him well. My son is swinging the new 29" -10.

I'm a player rep and advisory staff member for Combat Sports Group. If you haven't looked at them you should. They make a great bat that will add some serious pop to any ball he hits. If you want to know more just pm me

Combat bats are great bats with lots of pop!

If your dead set on one of those two Mako is the way to go

            Combat Bats are great!

My 2 boys use the Combat Portent G3. I have bought several of them so far. If you do go composite make sure to keep the receipt. One of my Combats was cracked and I didnt notice until a week after the warranty ran out. Another cracked and it was replaced very quickly.

This will happen to ANY composite bat and not in anyway a knock on Combat. I just bought a new one last week. Just make sure to inspect any bat you get periodically.

I'm usually a big Easton fan but we bought the Mako a couple of years ago and I hated that bat. Im talking about the Orange one. If you spend the coin on the white Mako its a pretty good bat. I like the Louisvilles and would have bought one this year but my son wanted a Marucci. I ended up getting him the Hex Alloy and its a great bat. I prefer the alloys over the composite bats.

Good advice... The Cat 6 is great option too. For some reason I could not find one in 28", which is what my son swings.

My son uses a 29.5" drop 13 Demarini Vexxen. It's not a big barrel, but no body else's balls get to the high school outfield fence either.

                      What barrel size? What drop?

Omaha is pound for the pound the best bat on the market when you combine performance and value all rolled up into one. It gets play on 60% of my college campuses. I am a fan of an alloy bat over a composite bat as well.

2 3/4" barrel. Drop -10. We are using the Assault right now and have always liked the TPX bats but wanted to upgrade for this year.
