Hotel in Tilden

Going to hunt at James Daughtrey this year. I need the TBH brain trust to recomend a place to stay near there. Can anyone steer me towards or away from a clean, nice hotel to stay at?

Max's in Tilden

Not alot of choices in Tilden. You might try Nolan Ryan's Waterfront Inn. Only a few miles from Tilden on Hwy 72. The food is pretty good also.

There's a nice one towards three rivers we stayed at that is new and clean. Think it's called the lodge. not sure. Don't stay at the Bass inn it's dirty

Pretty much you will have to stay near 3-Rivers or Pleasaton (sp?)

Max's has a small motell behind the cafe in Tilden. I don't know haw the rooms are but you'd be right next to some good grub.

The bass inn isn't the ritz but it's an inexspensive place to crash. Nolan's new place look's pretty nice as well. I do recomend Noalns steak house, great chicken fried steak.

From looking from the outside, I wouldn't stay at the Max's hotel place. The food there isn't bad though.
