I've done a few searchs and can't find exactly what I'm looking for. My original battery on my Ranger finally crapped out. My question is, should I put 2 small batteries with a splitter back on it or 1 big car battery? I have a winch, a probox top, and 2 small light bars. What would be the advantages and disadvantages of both?

The only disadvantage I can think of running two batteries is that if one goes bad the other will soon follow. I don't see the sense in running two batteries unless you run two big ones. And those won't fit. -
I bought one for my mule a few months ago from Batteries Plus. It was some type of special battery kind of like an optima i was told, it was same dimensions as old battery, but about twice as heavy. He said most batteries reuse lead, but this particular one has virgin lead if i remember correctly. May have been BS but the weight difference was crazy. It was almost twice as much as regular battery would have been, again if I remember correctly. I only run a light bar and a radio. We will see how it holds up, last one didnt quite make 2 years, and was in there since it was newComment
