The cable roller system is a HCA patent. If you don't mind going over to AT, there is quiet a few discussions on HCA, the Iron Mace and the new line of bows under the MFG's section. Most people will knock this line of bows or rather the HCA name due to the fact of the problems associated with them for the past few years due to Spencer not taking care of business. Now that Richard of Newberry fame has taken over the name and line, I fully expect that HCA will once again be at the top of the heap as they were once. I currently own a HCA SSR Carbon with twin turbo cams and absolutely love this bow. It is fast, quiet, easy to shoot with very little if any hand shock and best of all, very light weight. This bow, a generous sister and brother in law and a lot of luck contributed to a very successful hunting year in 06.

HCA may be something you need to take a careful look at in 07, I know I am.

I am still curious if that is the K8 cam from Elite?

I don't think so. According to Richard, these are his binary's and his cable roller.

The Newberry site is down Bill, but it seems as though Richard has transferred all the stuff over to the HCA site.

Pretty sure that the Iron Mace came out before the Elite bows too.

Richard has a tech forum here also though it hasn't been as active lately:

Wish them the best in bringing HCA back!

He also sells the Roller Guide separately if you want to add one to your current bow.

FPT, thanks for coming over to this sight. I have enjoyed seeing the reemergence of HCA since I have been a loyal shooter of HCA bows since 1989 and was TX largest dealer in the 90's when I had my shop. You will have a harder time convincing people on this sight of the turnaround, but I will do all I can to help and keep plugging the bows and people on here will eventually see what HCA is about today and that there is a new player on the block! I hope to see the Iron Mace or Stilleto 380 at a local dealer soon. Never thought I would be replacing my TSSR, but I think i just might have to. Keep all the info coming.

Welcome to the campfire Richard! Glad you made it here. Looking forward to trying the IM. Is a carbon riser version still in the planning?

Those bows and their specs look great, definitely worth considering for those in the market.

A sliding draw length adjustment is the way to go IMHO. The next owner won't be scrounging around to find modules or cams. (if that is in fact what it has).

Light and fast with a roller guard- that has the makings of a winning combination.

Did anybody from TBH shoot the new HCA bows at the ATA show or did you just ignore them due to the bad reviews from the past few years? I would really like an opinion from a dealer that has carried HCA in the past or someone that might intend to carry them in the not so distance future.

Welcome to the fire! I can't wait to try out the Iron Mace. The more I look at it and the specs, the more I'm thinking this bow deserves a thorough test drive
