Looks awesome but don't see it being very functional unless it's super cold. Would get too hot sitting that close and drinks would get warm sitting there

I've seen these before, but have never used one myself.

You don't sit at it when there's a fire going. Mainly because as several have stated, it gets too hot.
If you notice, the picture with chairs, doesn't have any wood/flames in the center. They're simply using it as a table.

What it's meant for is backyard party type events.
You build a fire, everyone brings their own meat, and cooks it on their "section" however they desire.
You end up with several grills using the same heat source.
