    4-wheeler battery question

I went out to start my 4 wheeler today and noticed the battery was down completely. I guess thats what happens when it has sat there in my garage for 3 months without being started. Question is: can i hook up my car charger to it that i charge my boat batteries with?

My wheeler has a 12 volt battery. I've used a boat trickle charger before with good results. I've also jumped it off from the truck.

Yes you can use your 12v. charger on your 4-wheeler battery.

I've done that.......but you will end up buying a new one.....sor some reason they just don't last long.

If you don't think the battery cell is dead, it is always best to slow charge
a battery. I recently purchased a charger at Wal-mart for the very same
reason. It was not expensive, and has a charge rate of 1.5 amp per hour.
Assumming the battery is not completely discharged, which in most cases
it will not be, you should be up and running in no time.

You need a 2 amp charger. Don't charge it with a 10 amp car charger or you may boil the battery over and ruin it. I did that to a motorcycle battery once.

put a battery shut off switch on it. I put one along with a fuel turnoff value and it helped my 4 wheeler run better.
