Just shoot what you want to if its legal. No one needs anyones else approval for harvesting an animal. It's still just as simple as the hunter makes it.

I love my trail cameras, they are one the biggest tools I rely on. We manage our own lease so we don't have to follow any age rules but we still only shoot 5.5+ year old bucks. The cameras help a bunch in determining their age. I have several covert cameras and love getting pictures all throughout the day of when the animals come in.

I don't like to know what I might see. if I knew that there was a much better than average buck running around I might drive myself crazy.

I love my cameras, and I get a lot of enjoyment looking at not only deer, but many other animals as well. I see deer on camera that I never see during season, and I see deer after season that I have never seen during season. Just because you see a nice buck you would like to shoot certainly does not mean you will get the chance, but it does give you something to look forward to. The cameras also help with knowing which locations are best and at what times. Game cameras are a great tool and a lot of fun!!

Love my trail cameras. I keep them running all year on both heavy trails and on feeders. One of the things I look forward to the most about every trip to the ranch is pulling cards and checking activity. It is fun to watch the animals throughout the year and distinguish the changing travel patterns.
I have several stands that are set up away from cameras that I hunt only when the conditions are right and usually only during the rut. These are areas that I try not to ever go to unless I am hunting. Still get the potential for a surprise or unknown deer here, especially during the rut when the big boys are moving!
