Need ideas for storing hunting clothes in garage

Come the end of May/first of June my wife will be giving birth to our son and in doing so I lose my man cave and storage room for all my hunting gear. I'm looking for some ideas for storing clothes in the garage without having stacks and stacks of Rubbermaid boxes, as many are to be hung up and don't want to dig thru boxes every time I'm looking for one item.

I went thru the same thing. Used to have majority of my closet in hunting clothes! Now I have all my popular hunting gear that goes in a stacked pile in the corner of the closet, and that way I can grab and go. It's easy to make do with 2 changes of clothes if you have a camphouse/lodge. My secondary gear is out in the storage shed in totes, and I have them organized so that what I usually need is in the top, and rarely use in bottom. It makes it easy to roll out when you have to work late on thurs/friday to head out to the lease.

I use the plano XXL tubs. They pack nicely, store nicely and when I walk out the door, I just grab it and throw it in the truck. Best $20 I've ever spent (got them on sale at BPS)

No advice on storage of clothing other than to suggest never store your boots in the garage or attic. The heat can melt the rubber soles. Ask me how I learned this?

As forgetful as I am I keep mine year round in a plastic crate with wheels. Keeps together, save time from having to gather things. Stores easily.

I ran a rack down one side of the garage & just hang them up. Easy to find what I need.

You could try some hanging garment bags...the large ones that hold several items and zip up the side.
Congratulations to you and your wife.

I use plastic storage containers and I bought one of the white storage racks from home Depot that has a hanger.

I back my truck into the garage so I built a 6x6 shelf that is supported from the ceiling in which the bed of my truck fits under. I have a about a 15 inches between the bed and bottom of shelf for access into the bed. It holds coolers, plastic totes, lawn chairs and a couple of turkey decoys.

Pack it all away for a year and enjoy your new son and help your wife with the baby duties. It would be a "sacrifice" that would reap benefits for many years to come. ;0

Leave the hunting clothes where they are. You're having a son, he might as well learn early on what the differences in Mossy Oak, Timberland, and Real Tree are.

Congratulations to the both of you on the new birth. Enjoy while they are young and keep them close as a family.

An infomercial for vacuum sealing clothes comes to mind. I use a Plano Box, got it on sale at Academy. Wish I would have bought one a long time ago

This is the way to go. I have several of these that I keep my camo packed in.

I used similar to these a couple of years ago before I got ****** off and claimed my man-cave back... lol... i'm single now, so I dont recommend that approach. Good news is I still have my man cave and I sold the racks hahaha.
