Good LLC lawyer in Houston Area?

Wife is wanting to form a LLC and is needing a good lawyer who specializes in this in the Houston area to get it set up. Anyone have any personal recommendations?

By the way she is aware of Legal Zoom and the ability to do it easily online for $300. But she wants to spend the extra for peace of mind.

i don't know any lawyers there i know several in beaumont,,, but i went to office depot and bought a packet and set mine up,, tells you just what to do and were to file the paperwork, you just do the work instead of a lawyer handing it to a secretary

I understand the piece of mind, but even legal zoom charges too much.

I started from ground zero and did not know anything about LLC. I almost used our other business lawyer and he was going to charge $1300.

I did it all online-by myself for a total cost of about $50. LLC's are able to be done online and the process is the same or faster than if you did it through a lawyer. Really, there is no piece of mind needed because the state won't approve it if you do not have the correct documents. There are examples and instructions with every online form.

I did two companies with DBA's, bonds, etc in less than two weeks and again, I had no clue and started from zero.

Years ago I would set up several LLCs a week. The secretary of state fees for registration of the entity were close to $200. If your total cost was $50 I think you have a problem. :-)

We use Mark Tormey at the bank for all of our legal docs in Houston. He's great and does a good job. Tell him Post Oak Bank sent you and maybe he can cut you a deal.
