    Gibbons creek

If gibbons creek is privately owned I won't need to buy a fishing license, right?

So, I'd have to have a license to fish in a tank on my own property? When did that change? Or has it always been that way?

Don't know where creeks fall? Always heard they were public as long as you're in the water. Somebody smarter than me will chime in.

Personally, I'd spend the $ and never have to worry about it.

Gibbon's Creek, Fayette, and some other privately owned lakes that have public access are governed by TPWD rules and regs. TPWD has fish regulations for those lakes so obviously they wanted TPWD to govern and enforce the rules.

I was checked by game wardens there several times in college for license, boat regs, and fish.

Gibbons is only open on Fri, Sat, Sun now.

The laws regarding creeks and rivers public access in Texas is very muddy (punny, I know), but you will need a license for all of them no matter what.

Get a license and go have fun. Would rather spend the money on a license and be able to fish anywhere rather than be anxious about where I can or can't fish without a license and chance a ticket from the GW

Been checked by wardens on GC many a time. You need a license.

Agreed, I've been checked by the Game Warden on Fayette several times as well.

It is privately owned but open to the public, therefore a license is required.

Yep. For sure I will buy a license to stay compliant. You green screeners came through again. Preciate it.
