GS,
I'm in the process of gathering market data, analyzing focus groups, and getting direct consumer feedback for a friend that is entertaining the idea of producing a deer protein pellet. Without divulging too much information, or infringing upon patents and legal boundaries, the potential details of the pellet are as follows:
16% protein
Mixture of minerals, corn, vegetables, and others (full blend will be on label)
More nutritional and healthier than standard protein.
50 lb bag
Price point is targeted to be less than what is currently on the market (won't know until fully released)
The current blend is used for high end beef manufacturing, sustaining a heavier weight and healthier animal. The blend will slightly be adjusted to reduce some costs but, the product will offer full nutritional value to the herd. The deer will not only gain horn development but will also gain "good" weight, limiting the post-rut drop off in weight.
I'm looking for feedback from the GS. What do you think? Would you buy a cheaper protein at 16%, that includes other factors in the blend? Any and all comments are welcomed. This data and feedback will be analyzed.
If anyone has immediate interest in purchase or trial use, please PM me.
