    Sighting in a single pin

About to sight in a single pin and wondered what everyone's goto method is?

My plan is to get a 20, 30 and 60, find the tape that matches.(30&60 being the more important).

Anyone ever use a app to get your tape? Came across one while messing around on youtube. Uno archery App. Not planning on using it cuz 10 bucks is to steep, but it actually has decent feedback.

Never used an app, but I do use the same method you are suggesting.
I actually didn't know an app existed, I might give it a go next time I sight one in.

I use Total Archery Program, or something like that, TAP anyway. I print the scale off, shoot it in, and then build the tape to whatever the scale reading is.

So easy I can do it. I don't know of or use an App per se, just TAP.

And the more you can get when shooting in the better. IOW, it's better to go from 20 to 60 than from 30 to 60; it will make a more accurate tape.

What single pin? Mine came with instructions to sight in at 20 and 80. Mark the dial on each yardage and find corresponding tape.

Mine has a white area on the rear and I put pencil lines at different distances after I sight it in. No calculus or advanced math needed.

I have never tried the apps or anything for mine all just the old school way. Might try one once I put a single pin back on my new bow.

My bow wasn't fast enough for the set up tapes that came with my sight. Rat helped me out and had me on at 60 yds in a bout 5 minutes with his fancy computer gizmo. Well, 5 minutes may be a stretch but it didn't take much longer than that.

It is a target sight. Axcel 3000. They recommend the 30/60 method and will send about 10-12 different preprinted tapes.

You sure that isn't the price to buy the program?

I quit using the calculation method and just use a white tape and sight in myself and mark my yardages.

I will get back on it tonight when ai have time. I sure hope you are right.
