    DVR Security

I have installed a DVR system for a client. This is a system that the client purchased and I was asked to install. I am able to remotely login to the DVR as well as watch the recorded video on a smart phone, but I am unable to get the live stream to connect? The system is a LTS LTD8308T-FT. I don't know much about them, but have seen a few guys on here install DVR systems.

Anything I can do before having to make a call to someone for more help?

    Thanks

It could very possibly be the upload speed of their internet provider. I have a LTS system and I cannot remotely view it because of my upload speed. If you find out another way please share.

The client is a church, they live stream their services so I don't think their upload speed is a problem.

        Doesn't sound like it.

What type of router/firewall do they have. You may have to enable port forwarding over a specific set of ports.

It is a Arris. Don't remember the model, but have virtual servers is the way they do it.
              Checked with canyouseeme.org

Could be a plugin issue? I would imagine it requires something like activex or java to stream. If you are trying from a browser make sure there are no pop blockers preventing the plugin from popping up or installing.

Tried from both a laptop and a smartphone with the app that they suggest. I can watch recorded video up to the moment it is live, but can't click live and it work. I emailed the manufacturer and will see what they say. I am wondering if it is a cheaper system and not supported?

Makes me wonder where the guy bought it from. Theyve had it less than 2-3 months

Seems I missed one of the forwarding ports. Woops.
