    seeds...how long will they last?

I planted some seeds I have kept in a refrigerator I keep in my garage from my previous two years plantings. Will they grow if I plant them this year. I planted some about a week ago, and not seeing much growth yet
I am going to give them one more week and if nada, them I'll be buying more seeds I guess. Any information on the life span of seeds kept in the dark and cold?

Depends on a lot of factors. If they were good quality seed with a high germination rate when you placed them in the refrigerator they should last a few years. You will notice some decrease in germination over time. It also is somewhat specific to the type of crop or vegetable.

I'm not sure where you are, but with the cool temps most of the state has been having, it wouldn't surprise me for germination to be slow. Watch the soil temps also. Different crops or vegetables will germinate differently at varying soil temps.

I have them all inside right now. Maybe that's a mistake but it's pretty chilly out so I thought this would speed things up.

I'm not an expert, but I planted some Plot Screen three years in a row from the same bag, and it went through all outside temp changes in an uninsulated portable building. It is mostly Egyptian wheat, so I don't know about other kinds. I have planted wheat seed a year old, but mixed it with fresh, so that's not much help.

They should be good we have some okra seeds that been in frozen for several years.
don't just take then out and plant. let them warm up to normal temp before. Most likely ground is to cold for them to sprout. You can't plant okra until ground really gets warm.
What type of seeds are you planting. If there were just in icebox they may not be any good. we always put ours in freezer not sure about icebox. Also if seeds are soft is a good way to tell if they are bad.

Grass burr seeds will last up to seven years so I been told in the ground.

Legal or illegal. That is the question.
