    manual chokes

Just wondering if anybody is running a manual choke on their Sammy and if so how is it working out.
I have electric choke on my Sammy now which seems to do ok when it wants to but tempting to go to a manual to get more control out of it.

    Thanks,
    Dennis

Don't have a Sammy, but there's a lot to be said for a manual choke once you get used to it. Can keep the idle up a little higher if you want, but can also flood the engine and make you wait half an hour to start it again.

I can think of a few things I would like to manually choke.

I'd like to see that set up.

I put a myside on mine with a 40 mm Harley CV carb. It no longer has a choke, just an enricher (often confused for a choke). Huge improvement once dialed on. One of the best upgrades so far.

                        Google "myside"

                          Cool deal thanks,
There's a Weber on there now I think it was is installed on backwards for some reason the electric choke is between the carburetor and the valve cover. The throttle cable is in the front and the gas line connect is on the cab side which all I've seen looks backwards.
You can't get to the screws on the choke unless you use L screwdriver which don't make no sense plus the linkage is wore out and needs a new gasket between the manifold and the carburetor with what I've been reading seems like they go out every couple of years.

It's mounted backwards for inclines. Webers can stall when going up hills.
