A buddy and I attend Texas State University and are avid bowhunters.We are looking for a small place near San Marcos, Tx (Luling, New Braunfels, Kyle, Buda, Wimberly, Martindale, San Marcos, around these towns) Of course we're college students so we do not have $800+ to spend on a lease. We would just like a place big enough for us to bowhunt (75-250 acres) and to have a small camp. Water and electricty would be great but not needed. I have a small 3 person camper that we can use and a generator. We are both very management minded hunters. We are also looking for a rent house 2/2 or 3/2 for us to live in starting around the 1st of May to finish out the next few years of school but that would have to be in a 5-10 mile radius of the San Marcos city limit. Check out the Freeman Ranch that is owned by Texas State. I know they used to have bowhunting spots out there. You can ask to speak to JP as he is the man in charge. I know that TexasTracker use to hunt there. -
Is it worth gettin a deertexas account to look for a lease. Again just lookin for something small close to school doesn't have to have elec and water. If anyone has openings or knows of a place please post.Comment
