Awesome pics. I had no idea bald eagles would eat on dead carcasses. I thought they only eat what the catch. Live fish and ducks is all I see them prey on at my place.

Surprisingly enough, they eat a lot of carrion. I was told they also would 'rob' osprey and was able to witness it in Wyoming. On the Snake river, we watched an osprey catch a fish and take it up into a tree to feed on. An eagle began dive bombing the osprey multiple times, 7 or 8, over the next two minutes. The Osprey got fed up with it, and flew off but dropped the fish, which then became the eagles meal.
