I would love to have a center console when it comes to fishing. But since I suck hunt and need everything to be as low as possible for river hunting side console will have to do.

Really depends on that your using it for, you said Jon boat so just my preference ive owned 3 aluminum boats a 16foot center console a 20 cc and a little 14 tiller...I've been in the side consoles on a 16...if is bigger like an 18 a side may work but if it's a small 16 (and wide) not a skinny one I'd either go center or tiller and skip the option of side completely.to me its kind of pointless and takes up space that could be used for fishing..I'm just not a fan of the side console for fishing/hunting with a tiller you don't give up space and sitting in basically same spot driving the boat....center console is perfect as long as the boats wide enough to walk/fish around it comfortably. But there's nothing wrong with a tiller, and less thibns to go wrong and alot more room on the boat especially if buying a small one.
Check out tinboats website all kinds of customization ideas to make the boat right for your application.

Really nice side console with lots of bells and whistles.

FWIW most of the boats from this website are not the run of the mill craigslist junk that people are trying to get rid of because of various issues and maintenance needs. Most of these boats listed here are lake ready and up to date and need very little if anything to take them right on to the water.
Some are bargains and some are pricey.

                I'm on my 3rd Xpress, 2 X19s, and now this H20 Bay.
First, they are not glass boats, so they are simply not as smooth on the water.
Secondly, Xpress boats are pretty darn good on the water, and I have yet to dent one to the point of repair, and I've yet to crack one.
Of all my glass boats, only 2 never needed repair after a year.
Don't expect storage compartments on an aluminum boat to stay completely dry.
I have a great dealer,(local), so that in itself is a major plus for me.
