Question about General Motors design look

Not ragging on GM. Why did they go with a design on their pickups and SUV's that looks so similar to a funeral hurst?

It's the side windows and chrome trim around them I think.

Every time I see a new police Tahoe my mind instantly sees a hurst.

Maybe the people on the design team didn't see it that way.

Even the four door pickups have that same look.

I'm far from being a minority of those who have mentioned it.

I've got a 2015 2500 4 door, my dads got a 2014 1500 4 door, my sister has a 2015 Tahoe, and my wife drives a 2013 Traverse. I've never noticed any of them looking like a Hearse. I like the look of the grilles on the newer trucks. To me it's a throw back to the late 70's - 80's models with more modern lines.

I guess everyone see's what they want in things. I couldn't stand the look of the mid 2000's grilles and headlights, they way they slanted down and in. Thought it just looked weird. But a lot of people liked those too. So hey, whatever floats your boat.

Designers responding to whichever direction the market pulls them. Design changes aren't left up to just a couple guys. Lots of money and research goes into a costly design change.
