    Arrow rest question

So, I just need some opinions or any insight. Currently I have a Whisker Biscuit and I was looking @ a TRUGLO Carbon XS Drop-Away Rest. Has anyone had any experience with one? Should I just stick w/ the WB? I am not real sure, but I can get it for free and its brand new. I have never used a drop-away, so I am not real sure...

    READY AND........ FIRE AWAY!

    And thanks ahead of time!!!

Don't know anything about the TRUGLO Carbon XS Drop-Away Rest, but I sure like a drop away over any other arrow capture type rest.

Not familiar with TGs. Used QAD drop away for years and love it.

Limb driven. I hate timed rests with a passion. There are several great limb driven rest available. I've had QAD and Ripcord. Wouldn't give you a nickel for all of em.

So, explain to me why a drop-away is better. Is it just less resistance?

Make sure it is total capture. The rest that came on my bow, trophy taker, only came up when you drew it, and if you let it down, it went down. I you drew it fast, it would bounce the arrow out, and it would hang loose dangerous near your arm. Replaced with QAD. You cock the rest and you have total capture, and when you let down, it stays up. When you shoot, the arrow only goes a couple of inches before the rest falls away. Now some like this rest and other prefer different ones, so try it and see.

I've probably killed fifty five or sixty animals with a QAD on my bow the last few years on four different bows. And that's with the interruptions of four surgeries in the last seven years limiting my bowhunting. The shoulders knocking me out for six months each. No failures, no issues.

Your bow with a biscuit will kill anything a bow with a drop away though.

I replaced my WB with a used QAD I got on ebay and my groupings improved a lot. I think the WB has more contact with your arrow as it passes thru, so those little movements and wiggles affect the flight of the arrow more. A drop away has less contact, so less movement. My $.02.

I will have to look and see but it may be up only when drawn...
