I have a goiter and they say I have hosimotos (sp). First doc gave me replacement hormone and sent me to er with very high bp and skipped beats. Then saw another doc and they said we were going to watch it. I'm in the I guess I just ride it out boat. I have things that bother me but they seem to not want to do anything about it. Thought about going to see an endo and get checked out.

I had half of mine removed in 2010 due to a non-malignant tumor that started at the thyroid and grew down towards my chest cavity. I had no knowledge that it existed and it was discovered on a chest x-ray for a nonrelated reason. When they removed it, they said it was about the size of a softball when held together in their hands. How does that happen and one not know it exists. Anyway, I am functioning fine with half of the thyroid... for now. Operation and recovery was not that painfull. Good luck and prayers sent for good recovery.

Hi, I see on you were suppose to have your thyroid removed. I was wondering how your thyroid surgery turned out and if you went with Dr. Hashmi after all. My hubby is suppose to have a his removed and we are looking for some guidance. How did you like your Dr. Thanks

My sister is a kinda fruitcake sometimes, but means well, and doesn't jack around when she is on a mission. A few years ago her daughter, my niece was diagnosed with thyroid issues requiring removal. Sister started investigating and went 100% organic diet and the problems corrected themselves.
