I knew a Steve Thornell that is a crook, he used to operate out of Austin. I believe he got run out of the business though, I know he lost all his places up in North Texas

I was the victim of one of his "lost leases" back in 2001. Great piece of property too. Furthest east pasture of the JA south of Clarendon.

I don't have much love for lease brokers.

I believe we leased land from him and his son Gabe about 15 years ago north of Bracketville by the Alamo village. Real nice place but they leased grazing rights to a rancher who threw every sheep and goat in Kinney county on top of us. After the first year you could drive down the fence and the neighbors had grass 2 feet tall, our side was nothing but dirt. Anthrax wiped out most of the sheep and the deer and we moved on after the 2nd year.
