    Moral dilemma

I "won the bid" for a rifle on GunBroker a few days ago and I got a really good deal. There was no starting bid and no reserve.....surely a mistake by the seller.
After researching, it appears I ended up getting the rifle for about $120 less than what you can buy it at any firearm dealer. Now the dilemma, the listing CLEARLY stated in the "description", amongst other things, "no sights (open sighs), scope 3-9x40. When the rifle arrived at the FFL, I went and picked it up and there is no scope. Clearly I could call them, voice my concern, point out that the description clearly says a scope was included. Or, I could just be quiet, count my blessings that I got such good deal and be done with it. The price, BTW, was $120 less than you can buy just the rifle

what would you do? I personally am leaning towards, pretty heavily, not saying anything and not holding there feet to the fire over it

Yup, I'd count my blessings and use the $120 you saved to buy a scope for it.

Is ask, maybe not make a huge deal of it. If they advertised it came with a scope and it didn't, then I'd want the dang scope. No moral dilemma.

A deal is a deal. I'd at least inquire as to what happened to the scope.

That's another thing that is influencing me.... I already have what I feel is a superior scope that I was gonna mount on it anyway

I would agree, don't look a gift horse in the mouth. Sadly not to many folks left in this world that think like the OP.

Might be just me but that doesn't read very clear.

That's the risk you run on auction sites. If they listed it with scope and said it was included and you won the item then the gun and scope are yours for the price.
I would speak up and get my scope. Makes a good deal a better deal.
Your not doing anything wrong by asking for what they agreed to sell you. Reserves are set for a reason.

Won't hurt to ask, but word your question carefully so they will be inclined to make it right if it was an error. There is a lot of benefit to maintaining relationships, even with people you may never deal with again.

So why rub salt in the seller's woulda then? .

                          Leave it be.

If I place an order for something, I expect to receive 100% of what I ordered.

If I already knew I wouldn't use the scope it would have come with than I wouldn't say anything.

If I was however going to purchase a scope after the fact I would at least ask about it the one it was supposed to with, no harm in asking, but I wouldn't make a big deal over it regardless.
