    Any fishing graph gurus here?

wanting to upgrade my graphs. What would you get for the best bang for your dollar? I don't have to have the biggest. I want quality without breaking the bank. Which route would you go?

It's not "bang for you buck", but a Humminbird side imaging unit is a game changer. It's amazing to see schools of fish 120ft away. And, when you get good at using it, you can turn your trolling motor and keep with with school.

What do you have right now?
What kind of fishing do you do?

Its hard to beat the Helix line of Humminbird units, they were designed with a budget in mind.

Another top contender that I would strongly recommend would be Raymarine Dragonfly line is top notch.

Ive run lots of different Humminbird, Lowrance, Garmin and Raymarine graphs. If I had to drop the dime on a new set up right now, I would be stuck between the 2 different lines I mentioned above in terms of bang for your buck when compared to say Lowrance HDS and HB Onix.

Side imaging changed the game and the Humminbird 800 and 900 series units are the best bang for the buck.

My buddy has the hds7 gen3 lowrance I think. It's touch screen. But he has down imaging, side imaging and 3D structure scan. That this is wicked and it will find Fish like crazy.

I don't see a need to update. We run a 12" gen2 HDS console and a 10" HDS on the deck and they're great. I hear a 3D is coming out soon. The game changer for us was getting a Ipilot TM with the remote.

I bass fish a lot too. Your set up doesnt sound bad but if youre looking to upgrade, Id go with a lowrance hds 12 on the console and bow, get them networked together. Or if you really want to get technical with your fishing, get set up like a good friend of mine, he fishes deep structure all the time and has a HB 898 at the console and 2 HB1198 up front with a 360 imaging transducer on the trollingmotor. 1 is always on his GPS and the other is on the 360 imaging. We call it video game fishing, especially with a fairy wand, weve cashed quite a few checks doing this.
