Amen Bro Bill. I believe the post by LW certainly has some merit, just not in this case especially if it was a personal attack(pretty sure it was). Unfortunately, I have run across a few pastors that seemed to have fit the post. One thing for sure, without a doubt we are not here to judge. Sinners judging sinners=pot calling kettle black. Thank you for keeping up with the daily bread bro bill, I need it and find everything you post very uplifting.

Keep on keeping on Bill, your path is straight and headed upward!

Our Savior was faced with opposition daily, He never wavered.

Without a doubt there is some fru fru, cream puff doctrine that is being preached. There is some value to questioning any teaching, measuring it against the Word and asking the Spirit to proof it.

What? Wonder what he's going to say to the Saints who were not baptized at all? I have a feeling there may be much surprise who is in heaven & who is not. The chest thumping self righteous will be on the outside looking in.

Not only is this accusation false but it is also contrary to scripture.

Mark 16:16 He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned.

What does it mean to not believe? In the light of scripture specifically Hebrews chapters 3-4 it is to disobey. This is what kept most of that generation from being delivered into His Rest and that is why scripture speaks of another Day.

According to scripture none of us is saved yet. None of us have been delivered into His Kingdom yet. All the law and the prophets must be fulfilled including the greater in gathering and return of Christ who will establish His Kingdom here on Earth. Which is why I have never made the declaration that I am "Saved". We have been purchased with the Blood of Christ but now we need to walk out our salvation. We must endure to the end.

1 Corinthians 9:24-27 Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one receives the prize? So run that you may obtain it. (25) Every athlete exercises self-control in all things. They do it to receive a perishable wreath, but we an imperishable. (26) So I do not run aimlessly; I do not box as one beating the air. (27) But I discipline my body and keep it under control, lest after preaching to others I myself should be disqualified.

Philippians 3:12-15 Not that I have already obtained this or am already perfect, but I press on to make it my own, because Christ Jesus has made me his own. (13) Brothers, I do not consider that I have made it my own. But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, (14) I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. (15) Let those of us who are mature think this way, and if in anything you think otherwise, God will reveal that also to you.

2 Timothy 2:1-5 You then, my child, be strengthened by the grace that is in Christ Jesus, (2) and what you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses entrust to faithful men who will be able to teach others also. (3) Share in suffering as a good soldier of Christ Jesus. (4) No soldier gets entangled in civilian pursuits, since his aim is to please the one who enlisted him. (5) An athlete is not crowned unless he competes according to the rules.

Good read as always Bro. Bill. A priest once told me that "...God is a forgiving God" and that at any point (in time)he is available to shed his grace to you as long as you accept him. That may have been from a story relating to the criminal on the cross, but I think maybe it was in reference to a conversation we were having regarding making serial transgressions through life...I don't remember exactly but it was the clarity of grace for me that stands out.

On an aside- what the heck was that?

One time in about 2003-2004 there was this bible beater student at Texas A&M. And when I say bible beater this guy would literally trap people and verbally abuse them.

He caught me at the light while crossing from West Campus back to Albritton Bell Tower and started out by asking me if I believed in Jesus. I told him that yes I believed in Jesus. He then told me that my response was exactly what the devil said and began to verbally assault me, screaming I was going to hell and was a false prophet and weird crap. I finally had to threaten to beat his *** just to get him off of me and out of my face.

Weirdest proselytizing I've ever seen! Not sure where some people get that from!

                        Thanks Bro Bill.

LWolken... Jesus came not to condemn the World but to save it. Im sure you have a point but it is lost in all the condemnation.

This thred has really gnawed on me since this morning. Several, including myself, have scoffed at LWolken, but none have presented a biblical argument against his statement.

My comment was directed at a comment regarding baptism, but I may not have had the full context.

The larger statement I simply havent had time to re-read and digest.

So are you claiming that since being reborn you have lived free of sin of the flesh, mind and spirit?

Who do you claim salvation is for?

HEBREWS 12:14 "Make every effort to live in peace with everyone and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord."

I think we've strayed from peace here. This conversation should be dropped and moved to PMs if further questions are had. No need to air dirty laundry and make our faith look petty.
