When you get deer sausage?????

Solo, the reason I asked was that we had a similar bad experience at the one refered to. We paid for 20lbs of link sausage and got 12. We wound up tossing the sausage after tasting it. Our neighbor said that the guy batches up meat and makes "community" sausage. We now process our own.

Yep. Same happened to my cousin except with the whole deer! It was his first time to hunt and bowhunt. His first time in a deer stand ever. He shot a 4.5 y.o. 11 point. Took it to that place the year after he bought it from Ted. when we picked up the meat it looked like it was from a fawn. Literally. He also got screwed by White Raven Taxidermy on his mount. That took 2 years to get it back. He has not hunted since.

Very sad to hear about your cousin's experience. That could ruin some great memories of your first deer.

I had a whole deer made into sausage years ago. Ended up with about 70 pounds of sausage my dog wouldn't eat. Tossed it all out.

That is BS. Sounds like a guy I took some deer to in Graford one time. He screwed me.
