I sure havent heard that one. I do a lot of hunting in that area and in junction and have tried to get a bounty going in junction. Most times the county will bring in another government trapper insted of paying a bounty.

blhaley where did you hear about this in Mason?????

I am a member of the association. I can get you the info if you would like it. We havent shot any coyotes in a couple months so the bounty might have gone down since then. I will find out.

I used to get $15 in Burleson, but the commissioners did away with it last year.

Wow, I had no idea bounties still existed anywhere for yotes or bobcats. This is news to me.

we lease from lester kothmann, hunting was kinda slow for the good bucks this year

but i did find this little fella toward the end of the season

crittergitter, not the same kothmann's but more than likely related, as far as i know his dad was a county judge

I found out that whatever county Mertzon is in has a $50 bounty for bobcats. i don't know about 'yotes though. I'm pretty sure that the ranchers in that area just call in a gov't trapper a couple of times a year and has him set out cyanide guns. A buddy has a lease in that area and has seen both the trapper and the guns on his place.
