Are you starting with the rest in the up position?

I start with mine in the up position to hold the arrow.

I shoot with it in the up position before I draw , I was just wondering why it's a little sticky.

          Have you lubricated it lately?

There are specific instructions- DO NOT LUBRICATE!

THere is a grease inside the workings of a specific viscosity, you mess that up, and the whole works is thrown off.

i suggest you cal QAD, and they will exchange it for you, all you will be responsible for is the shipping of your old rest to them.

Show me... a light lubercation and cleaning of the shaft and the space behind the thumb wheel works wonders for the ones I've worked on..

BTW here is what Quad says about the sticking...

Q: My LD/HD is “sticking” or “popping” when I draw back my bow from the Drop Away position?

A: The Ultra-Rest LD/HD are not designed to draw from the bowshelf...here's why...when the Launcher drops away, an internal brake wedges into a cam causing the "Lock-Down" effect eliminating any chance of unwanted "bounce back". When you use the Thumbwheel to rotate the Launcher to the Capture position you will feel a "stick" due to the fact you are "disengaging" the brake from the cam. (this disengagment process is what causes the arrow to pop if the Launcher is drawn form the Drop Away position)

I went to the QAD web site, in thier Tech Question section it says the LD/HD models are designed to use the thumb bar. there is a wedging mechanism that has to be relased after the shot, So I guess it sticks a little by design.
                Thanks for the replies.

Mine says it on the rest itself, right around the shaft.

                    "Do not oil"
