Matagroda what to do

We are goin to Matagorda this weekend for a buddies bachelor party we are goin on a guided duck hunt Saturday morning besides fishing what else is there to do we are goin to get down there Friday around lunch and be leaven leavin sunday at lunch.

That's in Victoria, about 1.5 hours away.

There's fishing, the beach and a few restaurants in town. It's a nice place to get away but no one gets there by accident.

the bar under waterfront restaurant is the happening place at night. Not much else to to there. Might find some trouble to get into in Bay city if you want to drive there.

If you do to to the beach, you must buy a permit.

Now that's a good question. You need a permit to drive on the beach for $10...

Even though you can duck hunt in the marsh I bet there's some law or ordinance against it.

A call to the local sheriff would be your best answer.

I'd imagine the pool of employees in Matagorda to choose from is tough.

Poco Playa Restaurant & Bar has some good food and may even have some live music

Spoonbills is also good for food

Nope nothing has changed

No kidding. I ate there once last year (after saying never again the year before, and the year before that ) and just ordering and waiting on our food took 2 hours. They weren't even busy. After about an hour of being told it's almost ready, my uncle asked again. We were told they had to call in another cook and as soon as that cook got there ours would be ready. There were maybe 6 tables in the whole place.
