First Bow buck and first attempt at Euro

This year I am proud to say that I harvested my first buck with a bow. To make things better, it was on my Grandfather's land. He was a good, healthy 7 point. Walked in 10 minutes after shooting time began, and hit the ground 50 yards away. I used the Magnus buzzcut broadhead for the first time, and couldn't be happier. It was a great blood trail.

I wanted to do a euro mount, and I had all the equipment so I made the decision to attempt at it for the first time myself. Simmered the head all day, then boiled it in a peroxide solution to make it white. I could not have been happier with the results. To hang it I decided to use a broken cedar branch from the ranch where I killed him. Pressure washed the bark off, sanded it, stained, and sealed it all up. The way it is set up, it will be able to hold two euros. The placement twists with the natural curve of the knot in the wood, so no matter where in the room you are it looks good.

Let me know how you guys think I did. If any need for improvement, I welcome the knowledge.

what did you cover the antlers in to keep them from bleaching out on the bottom while boiling in the peroxide solution?

Codie, I actually did a double protection. First I wrapped it in cling wrap, then I used electrical tape to ensure nothing happened. It worked great.

Can you share what peroxide solution you used and how much you mixed in the water? I have never heard of boiling it with it but it makes sense. I have always painted a paste on and let it sit but I like the looks of yours.
