That GM car you bought, we're the ones who own it

Congratulations! You just bought a new Chevy, GMC, or Cadillac. You really like driving it. And it’s purchased, not leased, and all paid off with no liens, so it’s all yours… isn’t it? Well, no, actually: according to GM, it’s still theirs. You just have a license to use it.

And they lost, not sure if you looked at the date. I remember reading that article back when it was written.

They should get some sort of royalty for producing the best trucks.

Yep and I believe it was actually John Deere that first tried it and alot of auto mfgs jumped on the band wagon. Kinda like when you buy a computer and have to buy the upgrade for the software installed on it. Gm said that since their vehicles use computers in them then only their technicians were licensed to repair them.

If they still own my trucks, why do I have to keep paying for fuel pumps?

Better than paying for head gaskets if they were Fords. Lol

Or for an entire new rear end, front end, and dash if it's a dodge. Finally got through that nightmare.

Wait, wait, I thought Chevy, Fords and Dodge trucks never have any problems?

Nah, they all have mechanical issues but you don't have to worry about being a Toyota owner which is a much bigger issue than a truck breaking down on you

Yeah, they keep sending letters and calling trying to get me to bring mine back and get a new one. Sales girl told me she could reduce my payments and make them lower on a new car than what I was paying now. I told her to sign me up since I am currently paying $0 on my car note. She thanked me for my time and hung up.
