I went in trying to adopt a lab and they didn't have any and my wife wouldn't let this one go. All we know for sure is he is a border collie mix, his brothers and sister looked like border collies with long hair, this one has very short. What's your guess he's mixed with?

Wife thinks lab but I think pit bull or boxer. He doesn't have the build type of a pit bull or boxer and usually sits up a little straighter but he just got his nads cut off. I think only time will tell. I'm pulling for a lab though, if it is a lab/collie mix it might make a bearable retrieving dog like I wanted.

Lesson learned, never take your wife with you to pick out a puppy!

Cute pup and any dog can be a retriever, just have to keep it fun. My bro's pit mix retrieves with my lab when he brings him out

I've been playing with him for the past hour or so and he likes to fetch it and bring it back to me no problem. He just has to have the attention span to see me throw it.

I see pit and border collie. Look at the erect base forward pointing ears and the snout shape and the pit shows up.

Love him and he will love you back. He may be a bit active and smart so keep him occupied.
