Window Tint Question (Leo response plz)

Been awhile since I have been here but figured this is the best place to ask.

My wife has a condition that allows for darker window tint. In addition to the window exemption letter do we have to carry the prescription in the vehicle? I was told to keep a copy of the Exemption in the vehicle. However, the fine print states:

This certificate expires on the expiration date listed above. If no expiration date is present, the certificate shall be valid as long as the condition requiring the use of the sun-screening devices persists, the prescription expires, or until the vehicle is sold.

There is no expiration date on the certificate, just a issued date. The prescription is for 1 year and has to be renewed every year according to her doctor.

I am assuming that the certificate is good indefinitely as long as we have a current prescription and that we don't have to resubmit for a new certificate every year. However if this is the case should I also carry a copy of the current prescription? Or do I have to get a new exemption certificate yearly?

    Thanks

Keep the prescription in the vehicle. We use windows tint meters and that's what we go off of. With that stated people always seem to have those little stickers showing light transmission etc.

Save yourself the headache of possibly getting the ticket and going to court. Just carry it.
