Tomorrow our cold case unit will be involved in a press conference on the unsolved murder of Deputy Edd Williams, Harris County Sheriff's Office.
January 12th will be the 42nd anniversary of his death. We will be presenting some "age progressed" composite photos showing what the suspects may look like now.
Deputy Williams was originally a Polk County deputy and I was told he was the first black deputy in that county before coming to HCSO.
His son will be at the press conference, along with Sheriff Sowell of Grimes County and DPS Deputy Director Bodisch (former coworkers of Deputy Williams at HCSO).
The governor's office has provided a substantial reward for information that helps clear the case.
Deputy Williams went out fighting.
Rest in Peace, sir.
